Rebranding the Jenseits von Millionen Festival.

A Design Between Tradition and Festival Vibes
Supervision: Lisa Bucher

For the Jenseits von Millionen Festival I developed a new visual concept that preserves the regional identity of the Lower Lausatian region and at the same time captures the magical atmosphere of a summer festival.

The Jenseits von Millionen is a german independent & charity festival that has been organised by a dedicated association since 2008. It brings exceptional artists to the stage and combines music with a social cause. My design picks up on this spirit and creates a visual identity that conveys both the local heritage and the vibrant festival energy.

My rebranding concept combines the cultural roots of the region with a modern, illustrative aesthetic. Lusatian pattern elements play a central role - reinterpreted and combined with the atmosphere of a festival. The Lusatian Serbs are a recognised minority in Lower Lusatia, whose rich traditions and customs are still alive today. This cultural heritage plays a subtle role in the design and provides the festival with an unique visual identity. The central motif is moths, which are attracted by the light of the festival. Their shimmering wing-dust particles interweave with the pattern elements and create a spherical, dreamy mood - a visual echo of the soundscapes and magical summer nights that characterise the festival.
